Lucy Werner joined Google in January 2015. She oversees the Finance business at Google and is focused on educating companies and agencies to make the best use of digital marketing to reach and engage new customers.

Prior to Google, Lucy has over 10 years of experience in online and advertising industries in San Francisco, London and Hong Kong. She has started her own company and worked for multi-national companies such as JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch and Deloitte.

 

Lucy received her Bachelor of Commerce and CPA from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Dr. Ching-Yung Lin

Dr. Ching-Yung Lin is the CEO of Graphen, Inc., a startup company focusing on developing next-generation Artificial Intelligence technologies, especially on solutions for the Financial Services industry. Before June 2017, He was the IBM Chief Scientist, Graph Computing, and an IBM Distinguished Researcher. He led the Network Science and Machine Intelligence Department in IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. He is also an Adjunct Professor in Columbia University since 2005, an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington from 2003 to 2009, and an Adjunct Professor in NYU in 2014.

 

In 2015, he was invited to be a panelist together with the White House Chief Data Scientist in the semi-annual conference of the American Medical Association. He was invited as a keynote or plenary speaker at 20+ conferences, including the International Conference on Cybersecurity hosted by FBI in 2016 and the Expo 2.0 in New York Javits Convention Center. His work won 7 best paper awards, shown in 100+ press releases, and was featured 4 times by the BusinessWeek magazine, including being the Top Story of the Week in May 2009.

Clara Chiu

Clara Chiu is the Director in charge of Fintech of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). She is also the Director of the Licensing Department of the SFC and an ex officio member of the SFC Fintech Advisory Group.  She oversees the SFC Fintech Contact Point which handles initial enquiries from Fintech companies that intend to set up financial services and businesses in Hong Kong. Clara is a qualified solicitor in Hong Kong, England and Wales. Prior to joining the SFC, Clara worked in international law firms and her main practice areas included regulatory advisory work, commercial and regulatory litigation. During her service at the SFC, Clara also worked in the Intermediaries Supervision Department leading SFC teams on inspections, policy and regulatory reforms.

Nelson Chow

Chief Fintech Officer, Fintech Facilitation Office, Hong Kong Monetary Authority

Nelson Chow has been appointed to the present position from 1 September 2016 with responsibilities for facilitating the healthy development of the fintech ecosystem in Hong Kong and promoting Hong Kong as a fintech hub in Asia. He joined the HKMA in 2004 and was responsible for the supervision of banks’ technology risk management and business continuity planning as well as the formulation of related policies and guidelines. He was the Deputy Chief Representative of the New York Office in 2010. After returning to Hong Kong in 2013, he took up responsibilities to supervise banks’ operational risk management and perform macro-prudential data analysis. Prior to joining the HKMA, Mr Chow was a Vice President of JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. responsible for information risk management of the Asia Pacific region. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Auckland and a Master of Science degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Charles d'Haussy

Charles d'Haussy is Head of FinTech at Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK), the department of the Hong Kong SAR Government responsible for Foreign Direct Investment.

 

In 2016, InvestHK has set up a Fintech team to attract top innovative Fintech companies, entrepreneurs, investors, accelerators, R&D institutions from Mainland and overseas to supporting businesses to set up and expand in Hong Kong.

 

The Fintech team has dedicated correspondents in Hong Kong, London and Silicon Valley. They provide practical support and assistance on setting up offices, facilitating visa and banks accounts, regulators introductions, networking opportunities, guidance in government grants and funding.

Mr d'Haussy has 13 years’ experience in Hong Kong private sector, having setup his company and holding a number of management roles. Before joining InvestHK, Charles was head of sales and business development with a leading Hong Kong online broker and robo-adviser. Mr d'Haussy held SFC licenses 1 & 4, studied in France at Rennes International Business school, as well as Sun Yat Sen University in Guangzhou, China.

Yannick Even

Neil Cuthbertson

Neil Cuthbertson joined RBS in June 2010 as Head of Vendor Management with the responsibility to deliver financial benefits based on the effective alignment of goals, capabilities and investments with a small group of strategic suppliers.

 

Since late 2014, Neil has built strong relationships with the innovation ecosystem in Israel with a focus on cybersecurity, data and analytics, payments and digital technologies. In 2016 he established RBS’s founding partner status with The Floor - a Fintech hub based at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE). Ben Gagnon

Ben Gagnon learned of Bitcoin in 2010 while studying economics at the Kelley School of Business. Lapman Lee

Co-Chair, Fintech Association of Hong Kong

Lapman Lee is a Co-Chair at the FinTech Association of Hong Kong, and co-authored a paper on Hong Kong’s position as a FinTech hub for the European Commission in his role as a Financial Services Business Council member at the European Chamber of Commerce.
 

He advises banks and insurers on regulatory compliance related to conduct and prudential risks in his role as a Managing Director/Partner.
 

Lapman is in an ongoing dialogue on FinTech, InsurTech, and RegTech with regulators such as the UK FCA and in HK with the HKMA, SFC, MPFA, and the Insurance Authority where he is a member of the Future Task Force of the Insurance Industry.

Mac Ling

Max Liu

A veteran of the financial services industry, Max’s career spans more than 20 years across Asia and the United States.


Across Asia, Max has seen how conventional banking excluded large segments of society, particularly low-income overseas workers from having access to financial services. Paul Schulte
